HELP, I launched my "88"N24 yesterday. the ramp at my local harbor doesn't have much of a slope. As I was trying to launch the boat the rudder hit the asphalt on the ramp and broke in 2 pieces. I had the launch driver pull me out to my mooring. I managed to get the large bottom half on the boat. i went out at low tide today and took apart the upper part that attaches the the tiller thingy. All was going well . I had the 2 pieces and was planning on epoxying them together then getting a couple of stainless gusets thru bolted and then glass the whole thing in. The only problem was the launch wasn't running so I put everything on top of my kayak and headed in I had the largew bottom half tied off with the small piece inside the kayak with me. Wouldn't you know it. a power boat flew by me and capsized me. I still have the large bottom piece, but the top piece with the upper pintal was lost in the channel. I lost the top of the rudder where it flairs to about 4" wide. Long story short, Does antone have any idea where I can buy another rudder or at least have a template of one. Has anyone tried a differant type of rudder such as one of a cat boat. Any imput would be greatly appreciated because I have my boat sitting fully rigged on the mooring with no way use it since I can't steer. THANKS in advance for any help

The whole idea of the modification is to get a balanced rudder. I think the -- norm ex-nimble new orleans -- 6/21/08 7:12a.m.
