Rudder modifications

I see Greg has taken care of the dimensions. I was interested to see your description of the existing rudder. I have been thinking of modifying mine but felt there was a SS grid to contend with, apparently not. I would just chop off the 12 inches and add to the forward section to give a more balanced rudder as per Ted Brewers comments. I don't think the additional material would interfer with the prop., but I'll be able to tell more when I pull the boat. If you are going ahead with this let me know and I'll wait your opinion on it's effects. I would think it would get rid of a lot of the weather helm that we experience in heavy winds. I think that 12" at the trailing edge is counter productive and actually makes the boat less nimble.(pun intended)
