So why would you want to buy a Bay Hen?

Bob, I read your thread on the catboat forum and you have been given several great places to check with other Bay Hen owners to rebut Mr. Donaldson's post. I'm still waiting to see you post up on the Hen's Nest or the WCTSS site (several members have Bay Hens) for other owner's impressions. That is the first negative impression of the Bay Hen that I have heard other than the obvious "won't go well to windward due to the cat rig and slams in a chop due to the flat bottom". Google "Buzzards Bay" and "The Hole" and you get horror stories of massive tidal currents -- hardly the intended cruising ground for any of the Hens if the tide is wrong. HTH, Paul
