Probably thrown this out here before, but FWIW I've been pleased with the '93 Buick Roadmaster wagon I bought to tow my Nimble 20. Lacking 4WD and big knobby tires it wasn't going to get the boat out of Gene's holler, but it's been fine ever since. 350 (5.7l) V-8 and tons of torque, so there's never any thought about the load. The trailer doesn't have brakes, but having the vehicle low to the ground and weighing more than the tow go a long way toward stability. The engine & all the heavy stuff from the boat can go in the back locked up out of the weather.
And for miscellaneous non-boat use it gets 25+ MPG on the highway, seats eight or can take a stack of plywood flat in the back. Rides like a (really big) car and meets the much stricter car safety standards. Who needs a truck?
