Obama's political career in Chicago began by eliminating all of his political opponents before Election Day. Being a lawyer, he used every technical loophole to have his opponents kicked off the ballot.
Obama says that he will not have lobbyist in his campaign or take money from them. Technically this is correct, but he is not being truthful. He has been taking money and has been supported by lawyers and law firms that are lobbying. His apparent distinction is that lawyers are not dedicated lobbyists if they also practice law. He is using semantics just like former President Clinton did in his "I did not have sex with that woman" speech; former President Clinton's definition of sex was sexual intercourse.
His Church's political sermons for the last twenty years hasn't change, but his Church's political views are not in line with the rest of the country's. Leaving the Church he has attended for twenty years was politically the right move for a Chicago politician
