The fact is that Obama was not hurt in the party by the outrage brought against him a few months ago. He survived it without much more then a scratch.
Weighed against what McCain has in plan for the country (stay the course) and how pissed off the majority of the country is against the Republican in office at this time, the racial views of black churches will not really be an issue come November. Not to mention that the American public has little ability to remember the last news cycle.
It is also fair to say that the Republicans have had little affect on Obama with the smear campaign they have taken up with the lies they have spread. Seems to me that they have a following that is really gullible if this is the case. Thinking Obama is a Muslim. Thinking that he is a terrorist because of his middle name. The Right must be really scared if they can't beat a politician while staying on subject.
