Given Bush some credit for appointing Gates

Today, Gates fired the Chief of Staff of the Air Force as well as his civilian counter part. The reason was improper control of Nuclear technology. Gates did the same in firing the sec of the Army over the Walter Reed issue.
Finally someone in the Bush administration that understands accountability... very refreshing.
