A ten percent jump in the last month.
The market responded with a three hundred point drop.
A million home owners are in foreclosure.
A few short years ago, I designed an after market upgrade to the small boat steering system equipped on the Catalina 250 and because the construction requires machining by a lathe and milling machine (which I own) I agreed by demand to kit the design. The first shipping cost were under $10 for shipping and box. The kit shipped a couple of weeks ago was almost $20 for more than a 100% increase. While not all cost have more than doubled in the past few years, most have experienced significant increases, all eating holes in disposable income because incomes have not maintained parity with inflation.
In Michigan, properties are for sale every where, many of which have been on the market for years and have been reduced several times such as to produce a real buyers market. There mostly are no buyers even at the bargain prices.
