(Brian, Precision 23, Lake Lanier, GA) Reducing dividends is not seizing savings and as Russell points out, even if windfall profits did have an affect on the value of oil stock, one is free to change the portfolio to something else... the argument that Obama is going to seize savings is not correct. If you had framed the argument that Obama plans to increase taxes and the full brunt of that will fall to those who own oil stock, then you'd have been correct but seizing savings is not true.
