(Steve Haines, catboats, Goose Bayou, FL) would he be insulted by what I said? The hypocrisy around here is deafening! What's "distasteful" as you put it, is the fact that MOST prostitutes have been and are being abused, are drug addicted, and/or being forced to sell themselves to support a pimp....Looking the other way and saying "Oh, well that's just their free choice" is bullshit and shameful." I worked as a juvenile detention officer and counselor for more than 10 years and EVERY teenage girl (or boy) being held for prostitution was drug addicted and had been emotionally, physically and/or sexually abused by an adult male, usually a family member....NONE of them saw hooking as a promising career or would appreciate Alan's claim that they didn't need our help and protection.
