Prostitution, where legal, isn't that different than most other jobs. Does it have a stigma? Sure, but it doesn't lead to criminal activity any more than working a checkout at walmart does (and it probably pays better). Legal prostitution is generally devoide of the issues you cite as the problem.
Again. Look at Nevada. Legal Prostitution is a clean and simple business transaction.
Much like the alcohol industry. When was the last time you saw a drive by shooting where the Buds were trying to gain teritory from the Millers? I know of not a signle logical argument as to why pot and cocaine can't be sold at special stores just like booze. Take the wind out of the criminal enterprise, free up our police force to tackle more pressing matters, and use taxes from the sale of the products to fund education about use, abuse and perhaps even recovery.
But no, lets continue to turn victimless crimes into victimfull crimes.
