That a government tax is part of the overhead needed to provide societal infrastructure. That tax is not your money and because it is not yours, you have no individual right to decide what it is spent for. You have a twisted logic that because it temporarily appears as your income that you own it. Just as all accounts receivables in a business is not profit because some of it must satisfy accounts payables, so to a portion of your gross income does not belong to you, it belongs to the government that provides the infrastructure that serves the society in which you live. If it were not for that infrastructure, there would not be a net income after the taxes... you would not have a job.
You own only your net income after taxes. With it you get the right to decide how it is spent, but for some unknown reason to me, you along with a few others simply can't grasp what most do, that the overhead tax does not belong to you and there is no individual right to decide how what is not yours is spent.
