Don't you understand that the welfare system has collapsed the poor family?

You're right, someone doesn't get welfare for "merely" being Poor," she has to have kids and no husband. So, as soon as some poor girl gets old enough to menstruate and wants out of her "momma's" house, she gets pregnant. Does she get married? Does she and her husband get a job to support the new baby? NO**, HER MOMMA takes her down to the welfare office to get her set-up on food-stamps, section-8 housing, WIC, and any other program that will bring in free money.

The men ("baby-daddy") just live off whatever "baby-momma" they can. They never marry. They never set up a household. They never pass on any "work ethic." They just pass on the mentality of how to work the system to do nothing! The men get to stay for free because they provide safety, security and hopefully a little extra money from some a part-time job or selling some "weed" or "meth" (not to mention the sperm necessary to produce that next kid to keep the money flowing in!)

Then let's not even talk about the "Earned Income Tax Credit"!!!!!!!!! Which is most definitely just a payment for being poor!

** (sure, some do, but they are the ones who end up winning "life's lottery" by forcing their kids to get an education, and go to college, and not make the mistakes they're parents did, and maybe, one day, they can own a big shinny sailboat like the one out there.... life's lottery winners = people who get up and go to work everyday! This is America. If you can't find a job, you ain't trying. If you can't get promoted, you ain't working. If you can't be successful, you don't care!)
