Now THAT was fun!

The Potter-Yachters are back from the Delta Brannan Island to Bethel Island Overnight. Jerry Barrilleaux deserves commendations for a fine job hosting the event.

By my count, at least a dozen boats (6 big ones and 6 little ones) showed up for the run from Brannan to Bethel Island and back.

The sail there was totally different from the sail back.

On the way there we did not have to tack once as it was all a downwind leisurely sail.

Lundborg Landing is a great place to dine and overnight.

The sail on the way back on the following day was more challenging with strong winds and tacking against the current to make it back to Bethel Island.

While most of us were tacking against the headwind and the tide on the way back, Jerry B's boat Sunshine seemed to break all speed laws making the trip back with blinding speed.

Jerry's so fast that, by the time the cops finally caught up with him to give him a speeding ticket, he alredy had the boat on the trailer.

Take a look at the photographic evidence.

Great time!

Best,

Carl
