I loved the furler on my Mutineer..

And put a furler on the Precison 165, but for a P-14/15, I would think twice. One of the real advantages of the P-15 is ease of set-up, which the furler if its a CDI is kind of complicated. A simple Harkin (small boat)furler like the Mutineer had would be much better and cheaper to. A simple downhaul will drop your sail quickly and easily if needed and is much less expensive than a furler. Also, a furled headsail on a P-15 is not a good thing. The P-15 will struggle a bit beating into a chop, and furling the headsail partway will not help. I recommend saving your money and rigging up a simple downhaul to allow you to drop the sail or raise the sail from the cockpit a needed. If you keep the jib sheet tight while you use the downhaul, the jib will stay on deck and wait for you to secure it.
