Judy B hasn't been on this site much since she had her baby, a few years ago and she and her husband restored and sail a Catalina 27 I think they still have redwing. Hello Judy if you are out there. Her site is still one of the best for finding answers to your questions. From my stand point there are several kinds of set ups for Single Line Reefing. There are even complete kits. So you have to do some research. I don't like single line reefing because things can go wrong and get tangled. Also for me it so simple and fast to just use the old method except if you want use different colors for your reefing lines. In one issue of Good Old Boat there was an write up showing a twist on the standard Single Line Reef that caught my eye. But I can't find the issue at this time. I will keep looking.
