I tied two white lines together, luff & leach. With one hand I can control the both ends of the main sail while reefing, then tie the two off on the same cleet..
Baby-stays had no purpose after raising the mast, so I mounted SS clips to the side of the boom to attach the baby-stays. Now the provide two functions. 1. Prevent boom from falling to deck when the main halyard is let go. 2. Sail Lazy-Jack. Allows the sail to neatly fold up on top of the boom.
To help prevent the sail from snagging on the baby-stays while raising the mainsail, you will notice that the top of the stays at the mast are tied to the rigging to spred the wires wider than the width of the mast.

Now its time to practice knots during the winter..
