I talked to the woman who gave us our Potter. She has had it for 10 years sitting on the work dock at Al Larsons boat yard in Fish Harbor on Terminal Island, last commercial ship yard between San Francisco and San Diego. It was kept at the marina there prior her ownership. She said his name was Longwood or something similiar. I will ask her again, she gave me the name and as usual I instantly forgot it. I will write it down next time, I cannot remember names to save my life. He used to sail it around Fish Harbor. She said it was the prettiest boat in the marina at the time. I am hoping to find some clues when I remove the cockpit prior to replacing the wood. She also told us this last weekend that her husband may have drilled a hole in the bottom of the boat to let the rainwater out, I will have to look very carefully for that prior to the first launch. Looks like we are going to try and make it somewhat original. Attached is a picture of the last project we dragged home. Never did figure out the original manufacturer of that one. 14 feet, aluminum with fins like a 50's car. Every time we drag it out and run it, I am reminded why I like sailing better. Greg
