Tail fins on boats were popular at the same time as cars with fins, which the boats mimicked.

Late 50's to early 60's.

some of the manufacturers included Feather Craft, Alumacraft, and Aerocraft.

Looks like you did a nice job with yours Greg.

My 1956 Feather Craft looks like something Jed Clampett would pilot but i love motoring around in it!
