I was going to mention the new ramp by the Bay View boat club as a possibility. Mitch Carnes and I launched there on Saturday to check it out. Despite opposing currents I got as far as Alcatraz, then over to Pier 39 where the Maltese Falcon was tied up. I've got some pictures which I'll post later when I download them from the camera.
The ramp is very well situated and permits sailing nearly from the get-go. No long motor trip out the Estuary. And it's FREE!!!
