While gathering Owner Information for the Potter Owner's Registers I got an email from a Mr. Gerald (Jerry)Gagnon of Lake Zurich, Illinois.
I don't believe he would mind if I post his email here:
"Bill,
For what's it's worth: name: Gerald Gagnon, model boat: WWP 14, hull number:365, City: Lake Zurich, State: IL, Name of boat: the Boat,
We bought her in 1970 from Herb and Helen Stewart, then HMS Marine. She has a sliding gunter rig with spruce mast and spars and hasn't been out of the garage in 7 or 8 years. Regards, Jerry Gagnon"
Isn't it great that people like Jerry, and Harry Gordon, have owned and enjoyed their Potters for 38 years! Even if it just sitting in his garage I'd bet Jerry is still enjoying owning the boat!
Harry may have owned Manatee a few months longer then Jerry.
