Unexpectedly splendid weather brought forth four boats from San Francisco's new Pier 54 boat ramp (after wading through what seem liked about fifty unanticipated motorcyclists from several clubs occupying the parking lot), and fifteen boats departing from the Oakland-Alameda Estuary, producing a record nineteen Potter Yachters boats congregating for a meeting of the tribes at Clipper Cove for a grand picnic on the beach.
After looking at weather predictions of fog and winds 0-5 mph the day before, the brisk breezes and sunny skies this Sunday were a pleasant surprise.
Fantastic day, fun sailing, a beach picnic, and interesting conversations with good friends.
Great day.
Best,
Carl
