Mike, the dodger is a nice addition that gives you one spot of standing headroom in the cabin if you are less than 5'10". I have not used it in rough seas so can't comment on its "dodging" ability. You can order it from IM, its not cheap $495. Before I got mine I just used a boom tent which worked well for keeping the sun and dew off.
