(Tim..."Morning Dove" P19 #457 Potter Valley CA) That must have been something given their bulb keel. I didn't realize that Stars had positive bouyancy when swamped. The Star fleet would start right after the 14's when we raced on Lake Washington many years ago. One Spring day a violent squall came through at the starting line and capsized many of the dingies (e.g., Thistles, 14s, Finns and Pinguins) and demasted several keel boats. I remember the forelorn sight of a beautiful wooden Star being towed back to the dock with the remains of her mast trailing in the water.
