How fun something is seldom finds its way into an objective comparison and is never measured on the specification sheet. But one of the reasons so many of us love our P-15s is because they are a blast to sail. One of the trade-offs that comes with greater displacement and stability is a loss of responsiveness and intimacy with the wind and water. If I had to name a fault with the design of the P-15, it would be that it is a little blunt on the front end which makes for a slow, bumpy ride when sailing into steep chop. Other than that, the boat's abilities are remarkaable for it's size, in my opinion.
