I haven't posted much for many weeks now, although I do read others' posts pretty regularly.

It has been a dismal sailing season for me. What with a very prolonged, brutal winter last year, innumerable work and family commitments, funerals of long-time colleagues, and a flurry of illnesses, I only got Harried Potter out on the water three times this whole summer. And now I have had to tuck her away for another hibernation.

The last attempt to enjoy some sailing in August typifies how this season turned out for me. My Admiral had suffered a series of illnesses, so she couldn't accompany me on our annual jaunt to Bear Lake. However, since I had already paid for a week in the slip, I figured that I would might as well try to get my money's worth all by my lonesome. Well... I spent the first night in absolute misery with a kidney stone (second time this summer, fourth time overall), and had to forfeit the slip, retrieve and de-rig the boat, and drive back home to see the doctor. Sheesh.

So... the upshot is... I only have five photos and one movie to share this year:

In case you're interested, I have also posted some more modifications:

And I inserted some addendums at the very bottom of a few earlier posts:
