We currently have a vivacity 20 that I love to sail. The problem is with the water level in the great lakes being so low we can no longer float the vivacity 20 at our dock. I am sure the water will come back someday. We have plenty of room to store another boat and I have become very interested in a potter 15 to replace the mirror dinghy for the those early spring and late fall sails. Also with the shoal draft I can actually get it to our dock. (we had 11 inches of water this year) Do I get a used potter 19 and sell the viviacity 20 or simply add an older potter 15?
It looks like the potter 15 can be set up by one person in about the same time it takes to rig the mirror dinghy (about 15 minutes) while the potter 19 looks like it would take a good 45 minutes and two people for rigging which would make the quick afternoon fall sail about impossible.
Any Thoughts??
