Guys, I'm sad to tell the forum that I'm selling the Potter to get a bigger boat. I've never sold a boat before and I'm interested in what is normal procedure to get a boat sold.
I've already been burned with someone making an appointment and not showing after I've pulled the boat out of storage and cleaned her up. Some want me to pull the boat hours to let them look at it.
I guess what I'm asking is: How do I tell if someone is a serious buyer and not a tire kicker. Does anyone have questions I should be asking?
I have one buyer who wants to take the boat out. How do I know this is not just a free joyride?
Or is this all in the fun of selling a boat -- Any pointers would be great. Thanks, Ted Potter 19 Sander
