On Sunshine I flake the main onto the boom and tie it off using loose sail ties. Then I put ou the sail cover. Then I release the halliard and remove the sail stop so the slugs come out of the mast. I can then remove the boom with the cover on it for storage. I keep the boom in the back of my old van. This keeps the sail in good shape and also adds to a fast set up. Likt Carl, I have a 6 oz Elliott Pattisom mainsail Skip Elliott told me it would outlast me! Jerry B. Sunshine & Breezy
