Hi Jerry. I have owned a Potter 15 since the Spring of 2002. I can recall seeing the list of Potter owners such as the one published on the Potter Home Port even back shortly after I bought the boat. I used that list to contact other Potter owners in the Rocky Mountain States to form a local fleet of the Rocky Mountain Potter Association. All I was asserting was that I personally have heard of no misuse of the list. Granted, I might not be in a position to know. My source for the map info was the Potter Owners lists out in the public domain. But, I do recall submitting my own contact info [email address] and understood that it was to be used by the Potter community for contacting other Potter Owners. There are sites out there that can be searched to obtain an email address of someone. Email addresses aren't particularly private. I have had to change email addresses from time to time when the spam became too great. Now there are tools to block junk mail and so on. Keep in mind that the map does not identify an actual physical, street number and street name address of a Potter owner unless they placed the marker there themselves. In some cases all we have is a state name or country name. Based on feedback I have received both inside and outside of this forum, my offer to remove anyone who wishes to be, appears to balance the interests of those who would like an idea of how many Potters might be located in their vicinity, with those who desire strict privacy. Now, I am keeping an open mind about this. But again, if you would like your name and\or contact info removed, please, please let me know. I will comply with your wishes as quickly as possible. Thanks for your thoughtful feedback and your concern for others. J
