Simple cowl vent loss solution

In Response To: Question about cowl vent (David Lee "Ohana" WWP19 #478 Red Wing, MN)

Drill a small hole into the rear of the cowl near the bottom. Knot a lenghth of 1/8 inch line inside and outside of the cowl,to prevent pulling in orr out. Tie the remaining line to a cleat or other permanent point. I have had cowls knocked off but never lost.
