P-15 will make a great little trawler

I motored around Lake Powell as sailing was not that practical, except in the wider open areas. I took the P-15 up the San Juan River and was very pleased with how the boat handled. The P-15 is a very efficient little trawler and I would not be surprised if Buzz can get at least 50 miles per gallon with the keel retracted. I know that 103 mpg has been obtained with a racing shell. http://www.pocock.com/worldrecord.html

I don't think the H2's will be that noisy, especially when a comfortable throttle setting is found. I don't see anything wrong with leaving the sails at home. Maybe on his second loop trip, Buzz will consider a Lateen conversion or a short mast fitted for a small spinnaker for downwind use. Too bad one of those Hondas isn't a water cooled Suzuki 2.5, I'd like to know how that motor holds up against the Honda.
