Planning on running one most of the time. Both or one can be hooked to the tiller handle. Will use both if needed. Don't know if best to run one one day then the other next day. Then then both have about same hours and quit on me at the same time. Or run one two days and the other one day. These motors are 100% duty cycle so they can be ran at one speed for the complete day. Honda estimates 1500 hrs before overhaul. I have already had fish line wrapped around one prop which let some water in the gear box. Seal was still good but will have to watch over the next week. No I do not have oars- If both of these motors fail to start or run at the same time you will hear me howl on the West coast. Only so much room. I am aware of bad gas and may only fill one can at each stop. So the cas on the boat is from two different places- but at some point you just go for it. Trying to cover everything will drive you nuts. Goose I was looking at stick steering a few months ago, but it got a little complex with two motors for me. I do not have a extra fuel filter, but Honda assured me that I can pull the gas tank remove the inline filter and clean and reuse. Everything sounds so easy talking about it- the old saying buyer beware.
