In Response To: motor usage (Buzz Gentes)

Buzz, I keep the oars on the gunwales ready to go...not stashed below (they're too long anyway). I find that they are more than useful, and think that you would use them more than you'd think (besides for safety). They make poking around marinas and wetlands a lot of fun (and quiet)...which I'm sure you'd appreciate. Since you won't have shrouds, you might attach something to the chainplates to keep them from slipping off.
