Losing power at that point was a bad choice; trying to refill the gas tank on top of the outboard with a 2.5 gallon gas container in a hurry was also a bad choice. Having two outboards, you have a little safety factor. Life will be easier if you can refill without holding a gas tank over the transom. I recommend some sort of small centrifugal pump attached to an external tank, permanently plumbed to the Honda 2 Hp tank so you can refill it (I actually did that to my Honda 2 Hp).
