View, CA Date: 9/19/09 6:32p.m. Report: outside forum guidelines In Response To: Great Loop (Buzz Gentes) Even though you won't be sailing, you might want to keep the centerboard. You could probably leave it up most of the time, but when lowered it will allow more precise steering in marinas and other crowded situations. The board also reduces rolling when you are hit by a wake. On the other hand, the cabin would be a lot more comfortable if you could remove the centerboard trunk.
