Well my boat is under a tarp now for the winter. So i was just looking at some photos of it on the computer and found these two which make a very nice comparison for the simplicity of the lateen versus the standard sail plan. Every couple of years i hoist up the regular sail but it is hard to beat the ease of rigging for the lateen.
