... and we know the list is long of "saltwater" types who have been humbled by our "little" lakes including Herman Melville. You can read his comments in Moby Dick. Annie, did you catch the quick view east through Round Island Passage as they left the island to return to Mac City? Sure looked grim to me. I was in the gale of the ~300 mile 1985 Port Huron To Mackinac Race. Over 70 well prepared boats dropped out due to damage or utter crew burnout. We finished in a 30' prototype, but I never wish to see those conditons again. We ended up with a cracked main bulkhead, no electrical system, and water everywhere. Dave
