I know of no other forum that does _not_ require registration to post. We don't gain any information about you that we don't have from your posts, except a valid email address. We will not use that to contact you. But it keeps spam bots from posting and eliminates problems of identity theft. Your forum has suffered from that in the past. The Potter forum has been fairly lucky that it hasn't been targeted by a spam bot lately. Other forums on this board are not so lucky and attract multiple spams per day. It's not much fun for you or me. The system is very easy and it's not like other forum software. No password is needed read. If you enter your username the same as it is in your registration, your browser will remember your password and you're done. There's been very little trouble reported with the system and outside of this forum, only one complaint.
