Harry's right about registration. This is our virtual village & if we can help

. . . keeping the riff-raff out so that we can keep on enjoying this place, then that's a price I am willing to pay. I think that weighing the alternatives, IMHO this is best way to go.

Now I'm as much of a stray cat as the rest of you guys BUT, we get to live our virtual lives in this great forum for free and Phil never asks anything of us.

This is about giving back. If Phil wants us to register to help him keep things peaceful and organized here, then it is the least we can do in return and I think we owe it to him for all that he has done for us.

This is not about totalitarianism or Big Brother or the Government controlling our lives. This is about our enjoying a virtually free forum and cooperating with our benefactors to make it more difficult for the scumbags to wander into our village and disturb the peace behind the mask of anonymity.

This is not about putting limits on us. We all know who we are and it will not make one sliver of difference to us. It is about keeping the Flamers and the other pain in the a _ _ people off the board who spam or flame and then hide behind the shield of anonymity. Remember those jerks? The one who flamed Dave Kautz comes to my mind. If registration keeps someone like that from irritating our good friends, then I'm all for it.

Being able to live our virtual lives on this forum is a privilege and not a right. Life is a two way street and IMHO it is time we gave back to Phil and the Board for all we have received and enjoyed by cooperating with this Registration Program.

So, for all the things we have enjoyed here, I think it is time to give back to the Board.

And to all you other stray cats who don't like this thing, you are entitled to your opinion but please reconsider and put this in perspective as a minor annoyance that is more than worth the great times that we have on this Board.

Please stray on back to the virtual village because we love you and it won't be the same place without you. We all belong together and something this trivial is not worth losing the enjoyment we get here. Please come on back

In short, as I've said so many times before, Harry's right.

Best,

Carl
