A strange beginning, indeed. As Dave Kautz and I were rigging our boats in the boatyard for the night sail, we heard a water hovercraft being loaded onto its trailer at the ramp. Then they drove the trailer over to the parking lot next to the boatyard, dumped the boat in the parking lot and this girl started it up dry "on the hard" and began "doing donuts," taking several spins around the parking lot. I said to Dave "There's something you don't see everyday."
