Below is the trip plan for "Messabout IIIV" organized by Richard Herman, of www.potter-yachters.org . This will be my second trip with them out, starting from Bellingham,WA. We had a great time. ================================================== To clear US Customs on the way back. We have two options, Roche or Friday Harbor. You will need a passport or an enhanced Driver's Licence. Sept 1 - Launch from Bellingham for Fossil Bay, Sucia Island. Sept 2 - Fossil Bay to Bidwell Harbor, South Pender Island, B.C. Canada. Clear Canadian Customs. Maybe continue to Port Browning. Sept 3 - Bidwell Harbour/Port Browning to Montague Harbour, Galiano Island. Sept 4 - Montague Harbour to Ganges, Salt Spring Island. Layover two nights. Sept 6 - Ganges to Otter Bay, North Pender Island. Sept 7- Otter Bay to Sidney Spit, near Sidney, B.C. Anchor overnight Sept 8 - Sidney Spit to Roche Harbor, San Juan Island to clear U.S. customs. Maybe continue to Reid Harbor, Stuart Island. Sept 9 - Roche/Reid to Deer Harbor, Orcas Island. Note: we can take a layover for a second night somewhere. I've tentatively scheduled it for Deer Harbor. Sept 11 - Deer Harbor to Blakeley Island Marina, Blakeley Island. (My favorite so I'm going there. So there.) Sept 12 - Blakeley Island Marina to Bellingham. Note: tentatively scheduled to spend Sat and Sun of Labor Day Weekend at Ganges (reservations needed) or we can spend it on the hook somewhere. Also, we can spend a second night just about anywhere we want. I've tentatively scheduled it for Deer Harbor, but we can change that in a heartbeat. ================================================ Join in for all or part of the adventures.
