If i owned a P-19 (fat chance since my bill fold is empty!)....

I'd seriously consider removing the draggerboard, it's housing, & the winch system. Then I'd add a fixed shoal keel like I had on my ComPac-16!

Three-hundred pounds of concrete should trim it up nicely!

So much useable space in the cockpit and no fuss messing with lowering and raising a draggerboard!

Most likely I'd lose a bit of performance...but it's the voyage not the speed that I enjoy. If I want to get from A to B fast...I won't be in a sailboat!

Just some random thoughts from a P-19 Wantabee.
