we went on a three hour cruise to smith island, south of tangier, it ios even more isilated than Tangier. a beautiful day to take a trip onthe water and a crab lunch at the restaurant. we rented a golf cart for an hour to go around the island, but a half hour rental was enough to see everything there was to see, like the cars that have no license plates because they have no "roads" on the island. on thre way back we were chatting with the deck hand, who was from tangier island, which, he saidd, was metropolis compared to Smith island. his accent was indescribably delicious ...he extracted two syllables grom the word "gnat" i wish i had the ability to haul my p 18 down there and the guts to do what donnie does ...altho he might be certifiable
