Chris,

Squeezed about 1 1/2 inches of silicone on the inside of the boat hull in a small round circle. I then pressed the transducer into the silicone and wiggled it around a little(if there is air in the silicone you won't get a reading), thus the wiggling. There's not much else to it. I did this with the Hummingbird fishfinder on my 18 and the same on my 23 with an actuall depth sounder, both worked perfect.

I no longer own either of the boats but Richard has my 18, maybe he can post a picture.
