I was talking to Barb as she passed by your town (she flew into MCI). She was tempted to visit KU, but was a bit tired (6AM outbound flight) and wanted to get to Manhattan to run a few errands in case they rolled up the sidewalks in the evening. Apparently they do, so all worked out well. I'm not sure what her timing will allow. It depends on what happens at the real estate auction she's attending Wednesday. Barb booked a room in Manhattan through Thursday night, then planning to get back to KC for a late afternoon flight home. She may have some time Friday during her return to KC. I know she's interested in visiting Lawrence (the first place she's been to that I haven't already seen before - so I'm envious). Oregonians are considered pretty darned kind and approachable, but Barb keeps marveling how Oregonians pale in comparison to Midwesterners.
