Hi Rob,

I toyed with your idea, but concluded to make it strong enough and fasten it securely to the pulpit would be more trouble then it was worth. There is a lot of strain on whatever fitting you have for the winch strap to pass over, especially when you first start to raise the mast. The cross bar the nav light is fastened to is very strong, though I agree it is a bit of a nuisance to remove and re-attach the nav light.

when I made mine I was more worried about the pulpit bending -- Rob - P-21 Windance, Glen-L Minuet - Double Nickel -- 7/22/08 3:12p.m.
