and the 1st chainplate inline with the mast attached to the cabin sides. Rigging wire is 8 feet tall. The second chainplate is about a foot and a half behind the ist and the rigging is attached much higher.

So far, I am planning on sticking to hank-on sails. There is a bowsprit that sticks out a foot and a half. I will see if the reach out when raising and lowering sails becomes worrisome, then I may consider roller furling. So far I like the hank-ons for small boats. It gives me options on sail sizes, and is one less thing to break. Tom Scott once mentioned that I could even use the storm jib I made for the P-21 as a small head sail on the Minuet.

As soon as I finish the Minuet's main sail, I am going to try it out on the Precision to see how it works. It will be my 1st experience with a loose footed main.
