I used Harken Ratchamatic automatic ratchet blocks mounted to the bottom of the stern pulpit legs. From there the sheets go forward to the winches. Depending on wind speed this sail works pretty well from a little above a beam reach (a little higher in lighter air) to about 150 or 160 degrees apparent wind. The more I head up the lower I pull the tack. I can pull the tack all the way down to the deck if necessary. My spinnaker halyard is above the forestay though, so I can't tack. To jibe I just head downwind and ease the sheet all the way out until the sail is out in front of the boat. As I start heading back up after the main jibes I just sheet it in on the other side. It takes a little planning, but it's pretty easy to do.
