I need a spare prop, so I most likely will do the same as you suggest. I think I'm also going to try the prop guard to 1) protect my rudder, 2) redirect thrust. 3) I'm also going to add another small motor mount for my trolling motor. That may actually give me enough thrust to not even use the gas motor most of the time. If the trolling motor will get me in and out of the slip, and in and out of the restaurants, then the gas motor can be used to motor long distances when the wind is absent. Thats my plan
